Amirah (\a-meer-ah\) is a non-profit organization located in the Boston area that strives “to provide a refuge for those seeking to break free from exploitation and heal in community on their journey toward lasting hope.”
This April 20th I will be running the 2015 Boston Marathon to raise money for Amirah. Please consider donating to this worthy cause . If you are not aware of the scope of commercial exploitation that occurs in Boston, the USA and the world it's time to get informed and step-up to help out.
I considered placing some statistics here on the issue, but really...even if it is just one person, isn't that enough to try and help?

“But, old man, don’t you realize there are miles
and miles of beach and starfish all along it!
You can’t possibly save them all, you can’t even
save one-tenth of them. In fact, even if you
work all day, your efforts won’t make any
difference at all.”
The old man listened calmly and then bent
down to pick up another starfish and threw it
into the sea. “It made a difference to that one.”
