Kenya Cultural Center & Guest House
Organized by: Heidi Totten
We are calling out to the world to help us raise money for a Cultural Center and Guest House to support ongoing humanitarian efforts in Western Kenya!
Justus "Suchi" Obadiah is a true humanitarian at heart, and lives his life to serve his people. He has spent over a decade helping to create humanitarian trips in order to bring people to Kenya. Our mantra is, "You don't go to Kenya to change the people. You go to Kenya to change yourself."
Suchi's dream of having a Cultural Center and Guest House in Western Kenya to further his humanitarian efforts and provide a way to preserve local culture and art is ready to come to fruition. We want to help! Any donation is welcome, and our goal is to create all of the funds he needs to create his vision. This includes a Cultural Center, Family History Center, Guest Houses that are traditional huts with modern conveniences inside, sustainable gardens, and a computer lab.
The Cultural Center will be one of several that will serve as humanitarian hubs for groups of people committed to creating change at a grassroots level. We believe in offering a hand up and not a hand out. The Cultural Center will be sustainable and help the local economy.
What else is possible?
As part of the fundraising for the Cultural Center, we are encouraging people to "Clear the Clutter"!
Sell your stuff and use the money to donate to build the center, which will empower a community!
