On September 26th, our defending national champion Tufts soccer team is squaring up against Brandeis for the rematch of a 2-0 loss we suffered last year. In concert with Brandeis, we have decided to dedicate the game to charity in order to try and make as much money as possible for an amazing organization.
Grassroot Soccer, in their words, "connects at-risk young people with the mentors, information, and health services they need to thrive, and empowers adolescents to make educated choices about pressing health challenges such as HIV/AIDS, sexual health, gender-based violence, and malaria. To date, Grassroot Soccer has reached more than 1.2 million young people in 50 countries." Their website is: http://www.grassrootsoccer.org
If you've been thinking recently "well shux I am so frustrated with all this money I have", I promise this is the solution for you. Grassroot Soccer boasts that every $25 raised allow for the education of one child. Thanks in advance for any aid you might be able to give! Our team goal is $5,000. If you want, you can do a financing plan of $2,500/month for two months. Otherwise, feel free to give as much or little as you please.
