As you may know, I've been blessed to be a part of Where Angels Play Foundation for several years now. After a remarkable journey including building 26 playgrounds for the Angels from Sandy Hook Elementary School along the storm battered coastline of the northeast after hurricane Sandy our mission continues.
To date we have completed 40 wonderful projects and plan to bring joy to families and communities in NJ, Pennsylvania and Canada in the weeks to come.
I specifically write to you about a trip I've been chosen to make to an African village in Kibeho, Rwanda. Why Rwanda you ask? Where Angels Play has partnered with. "Kids Around the World", a charity that brings child play to third world countries in an effort to ease their suffering and supply "food for the soul" in areas desperately in need of joy!
We were also drawn to Rwanda because the generous gift of spirit and counsel was provided to one of our Sandy Hook families from a genocide survivor from that country.
After a recent visit to Rwanda members from Where Angels Play reported a happy, devoutly catholic people who are unfortunately extremely poor lacking even the most basic comforts we all take for granted.
In addition to a playground we plan to build a state of the art basketball court and provide much needed repair work to the boarding school there.
I hope you will consider partnering with me with any small contribution that collectively will help change the lives of little children a half a world away. It is my privilege to make this trip and would love it if you would support all of us as we spread the Angels legacy around the country and now the world.
