Named after Patrick Kisicki's older Brother Kevin Kisicki, Kevin's Concert is an event to benefit the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland. Patrick, who lost the function of both kidneys due to hypertension 7 years ago, received a kidney from his Brother (Kevin) on February 3rd, 2004. The transplant was a success, and they both recovered from the surgery. Being a musician, Patrick had the idea of putting a concert together as a way to one, say thank you to his Brother, but also to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland-a non-profit organization that works to spread awareness about organ donation and help families and individuals dealing with kidney disease. The concerts include live music from local Baltimore musicians as well as raffle prizes from local and national vendors. The first Kevin's Concert, held in 2008 at the 8X10, raised just over $700.00 for the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland. The next year, Kevin's Concert Vol. 2 netted almost $5,000 for the foundation! In 2010, Kevin's Concert Vol. 3 raised close to $3,000. Kevin's Concert Vol. 4 is planned for summer 2011.
