Khaleef Alexander: College Dreams
Organized by: Khaleef Alexander
Hello, my name is Khaleef Alexander. I am from Philadelphia, PA. Ever since I was a child, I knew obtaining my college degree was one of the goals I needed to achieve to be able to be a role model and successful. I am 18 years old, starting my freshman year at Delaware State University. I plan on majoring in Political Science in the fall, with my career goal to become an elected official. I want to become a politician that creates the change the community needs.
I am asking for help to accomplish my goal of being able to attend college. I would be the first one to graduate college. Due to my financial aid package not being what I expected, I have to find an additional $10,000 dollars for school. I tried to get a private loan, but I was denied. My mother was denied as my cosigner, too. Getting denied from the loans have created a financial burden for my mother and me. We have signed up for the payment plan, which my mother, and I have to pay $1,700 dollars by August 17th, and another payment by October 10th. I am $5,000 dollars short for the first semester, and I know that once I get opportunity to get on campus I can show people how talented I am and receive scholarships. If you can donate to help me reach my first goal in obtaining my college degree, I would greatly appreciate it. I know what it means to be defeated, but I also know what it means to have given your best and succeed. I know I will do my best to ensure I open the doors for many as many have opened the doors for me. Thank you. Please email me at email@example.com if you have any questions.
