There is so much that we can do to make a change in people's lives, and I know at least one way of doing just that.
I am going to skydive for the first time in six years, but not without a cause this time. This is an adrenaline sport that makes me ponder life for a few seconds or more before I jump off the plane. When I land, I love to jubilantly express the excitement and thriller of surviving the jump and simply feeling so alive.
It's the same feeling that I wish to see in everyone, and especially those whose only obstacle to it may be the shortage of blood supply. As a medical lab scientist, I get the privilege of serving the community by preparing blood products for transfusion as one of my tasks. The sense of worry is shared by all my peers whenever there's shortage on supply.
I'm basically collecting funds for the American Red Cross that will go to blood testing, emergency response, international relief programs, and other humanitarian services.
There's an equally, if not a GREATER, thing you can do than donate money for my cause. I want you to donate blood!
And if you have an O negative blood type, then your blood funding will go a very long way in traumas and emergencies. If your blood type is AB, the plasma from your blood is much more invaluable compared to other types.
Please help me raise $250 for the American Red Cross. And if you are healthy: donate blood. A chance to give blood is a chance to save a life.
