In 2011, A.J. Catone a professional pilot, whose recent job transfer moved him away from family and friends, was grounded by a diagnosis of aggressive carcinoid cancer and facing scary and painful changes physically, emotionally and financially. His wife Elizabeth became his sole caregiver, which meant she couldn't commit to full time work. With only disability checks as an income, the Catones don't know what the future holds for AJ's treatments which are currently working well. Next year insurance changes could mean that lifesaving treatments which costs tens of thousands of dollars could be out of reach for them. Their greatest wish is not for material things; their wish is to grow old together. This wish has tragically become more costly than they ever expected. They should not have to wonder if their life together will be shortened simply because of money. They've always worked, given back to their community, and now they need help and aren't sure how to get it. Please help to grant them their wish of a longer life together!
