THE STORY:

Max is a rescue puppy who was brought to an animal shelter after being found extremely underweight, starving and severely abused. Since being rescued, Max has brought joy and love to our home and has become an integral part of our family. He loves his tennis balls and watching Dad cook, his favorite meal being chicken and steak of course! His friendly disposition and gentle personality completely disputes the stigma that Bull Terrier's unfortunately have. Max is a loving, handsome, rambunctious 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy who was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer (cancer of the Lymph Nodes). Typically this cancer does not start in dogs until they are mid-older in age (around 6-9 years old) but unfortunately in Max's case this was found and diagnosed at a very young age. After hearing this news, our family's devastation turned into hope and prayer that there would be a treatment available to prolong Max's life and continue bringing our family joy day after day.

After meeting with Vet Oncologists the treatment best recommended was to begin Systemic Chemotherapy immediately for Max. Max was diagnosed with Stage III Multi centric Lymphoma which means this is a generalized lymphadenopathy (enlargement of lymph nodes) with the conventional chemotherapy resulting in total remission in approx 60-90% of cases with a median survival time of 6-12 months.

Max has brought so much joy to our family and love that the thought of losing him is truly devastating and heart breaking. We are hoping to raise money to help offset the cost of the very expensive Chemotherapy treatments that he will have to receive weekly. Your help is much appreciated and words cannot express how grateful we are that you have made the choice to help Max.

Thank you all for your generosity and support for Max. If he could lick you through the computer screen he would :).
