The weekend of October 3rd and 4th, the sisters of Phi Mu at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington will host our Third Annual “Kick It With Phi Mu” kickball tournament for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The weekend long event raises money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals—an incredible non-profit organization dedicated to providing the best possible care, treatment, and hope to millions of sick children.
The event consists of an elimination style kick ball tournament involving residents of the Wilmington community. In addition to the tournament, there will be raffles from items donated from local Wilmington businesses, games, and t-shirt sales taking place on the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s campus.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospital was founded on two goals: To help as many children as possible by raising funds for children’s hospitals, and to keep the funds in the community in which they were raised to help local children. Since their founding almost thirty years ago, Phi Mu sisters all over the country have raised more than eight million dollars to support their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. For this reason, 100 percent of the money raised at Kick It With Phi Mu will be directly donated to Duke Children’s Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
Last year, people like you helped us raise over $5,000 for our second annual Kick It With Phi Mu event, and now we need your support to do it again! There are two ways for you to get involved: You can become a sponsor by making a tax-deductible monetary donation or donate prizes to be raffled off during the tournament.
Any donations are appreciated by Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals; please make any possible contribution.
