- 09/24/14 - It has been confirmed that Barry will need 21 chemotherapy treatments over the course of 9 weeks. He is facing a very aggressive form of testicular cancer, however, we remain optimistic and are standing strong by his side. Barry is a strong individual, and we will help him fight it all the way!
- 09/22/14 - For those who are not familiar with Barry personally, he is a very hard working young man, and is very valued by the owners at Blazing Saddles Cycle in Cleveland, Ohio, not only as an employee, but as a friend. On Saturday, November 1st, 2014, Blazing Saddles Cycle is tentatively scheduling a charity bike ride and event to benefit Barry and his mother. More details will be available soon, so please check back regularly!
A talented, smart, and young individual, Barry graduated as Captain of his High School Soccer Team, as well as an Honor Student from Fairview High School in Fairview Park, Ohio. As a 15+ year veteran in soccer, Barry showed great potential not only on the field, but also in his future. Upon graduating from Fairview High School, Barry was set to play soccer for The University of Mount Union. With high ambitions and great potential, his world came crashing down upon him after finding out during his physical for soccer at Mount Union that he possibly had testicular cancer. After returning home to Cleveland for more testing, it became known that his cancer had become stage 3 having spread to his lungs, and lymph nodes in his abdomen. With his family at his side, and friends standing behind him, Barry is still facing a tough battle. The road will be long, tiring, and costly, but the battle can be won with your help. Every dollar donated will go directly to Barry and his mother to help with treatments, supplements, and medical appointments. The battle with cancer is very seldom easy, but Barry has a good prognosis and is a very strong young man, your help will ensure his success in kicking cancer back!
