Kidney for Curtis
Organized by: Curtis Thomas
Mr. Curtis Thomas was diagnosed in 1993 with chronic kidney disease His kidneys were working at 70% at that moment and there was no cure, no medication, or surgery for this disease. If he lived long enough he would be on dialysis. On May 2010 he started that dialysis 3 x per week and was placed on the kidney transplant list. Curtis was contacted recently by the transplant center and told that they had a kidney for him and to get to Miami. He then found out that the location where he was going to stay in Miami was no longer available. When receiving a transplant you must stay near the transplant center for 30 days after the transplant surgery for daily assessments. His name was bumped down the list. As soon as he finds lodging he will be placed back on top of the list. Curtis does not have the financial means to provide for a hotel room for 30 days. Curtis needs help in raising $3500 to offset the living expenses he will occur after transplant. If Curtis, with your help is able to raise these funds, he will receive his life saving kidney transplant. He will return to the top of the list for the next available matching kidney. The only barrier stopping his life saving transplant is $3500.00. We do not want to lose this mans life over $3500.00. We are asking you to open your hearts and help us raise the funding needed to help Curtis receive his kidney transplant. Curtis lives alone in Orlando Florida and his transplant center is in Miami Florida. His Income is limited as he lives of SSDI benefits. Thank you for all of your help.
