A little more about the amazing man you're helping...
Peter has worked for us since the inception of the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, nearly 18 years now. He started with us as a teacher and that position developed into the Education Coordinator where he acts as a very instrumental and vital part for this program.
He is not only leading the Education program, but he also visits 22 schools within the group ranch which houses approximately 8000 primary students, whom he goes and meets as much as he can! The children adore him. He makes visits to the the 53 teachers at least twice a month, and evaluates their work and provides the necessary info to the directors at MWCT to keep the Education program at it's highest level.
Peter also follows up on our scholarship program in the schools within the group ranch and those outside the group ranch as well. The program has branched out to Nairobi and beyond and has already established 45 high school scholarships that Peter overlooks for performance quality and reports that is provided to the donors of the trust.
Peter is also very active in sports which he shares with his students, the children that he overlooks have progressed their sports skills to the provincial and eventually national levels because of this enthusiasm and guidance! Peter is a loving father and role model to those that meet him.
Through his huge heart and dedication, his success eventually got him appointed by the Government as a chief representative to the community, where is also acts as the link between MWCT and the Goverment education offices/leaders. There isn't a person in the community that can say a negative thing about Peter, his willingness to work hard for his community is unwavering.
