On March 28, 2016 MSC FISH is hosting a meal-packing event on campus in Rudder Exhibit Hall. We are partnering with Kids Against Hunger, a nonprofit organization that packages highly nutritious, vitamin-fortified soy-rice casserole meals and distributes them to starving children and their families in over 60 countries around the world. Our production specifically will be sending aid to our local community and Haiti. Our goal is to pack 4,166 bags of food, and at six servings per bag, 25,000 meals. That’s 25,000 more happy children that can learn more efficiently because they aren’t focused on their grumbly bellies. It’s 25,000 more parents that don’t have to worry that they can’t put food on the table tomorrow. Efforts like this, we hope, can slowly but surely change the world.
While we have some of our funds to reach our goal, we need every bit of help we can get from YOU. At 25 cents a bag, any amount you donate will go towards feeding a child in need. If we surpass our goal, the extra money will go towards purchasing more meals! Help us help them, and you too, can be a part of our initiative to make this world a better place for our children to live.
