The Feather River Equine Therapy and Assisted Learning (FRETAL) will provide program services to high-risk youth during the 2015 Summer/Fall as follows:
Our programs include the following choices:
• Power Tools for Living – A 5-week Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) group program which teaches emotional constructs including respect, responsibility, relationship skills, boundaries, empathy and choices and consequences.
• Champions – An 5-week EAP group curriculum for at-risk adolescents which teaches youth to develop creativity in learning and problem-solving, breaking destructive habits, improving attitudes, motivation for relationship and life success, recognizing personal strengths, taking control of your life and future, openness to thoughts and feelings while respecting others, resolving conflicts and managing anger, and gaining self-confidence while overcoming fear, failure and rejection.
