Kiki's President Obama Doesn't Care Emergency Cancer Fund
Organized by: Kiki & Kirk Rezeki-Fields
We cannot get funding from anywhere, so what am I supposed to do?, watch the love of my life and best friend die in agonizing pain? Most of you probably can't relate to my situation, or don't want to, but as an American citizen who has reached out to President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, The First Lady, The White House, countless Senators and Congresspersons, U.S. Embassy (in Malaysia, where Kiki is studying on scholarship for Early Childhood Education), U.S. medical (and non-medical) foundations, U.S. corporations, 100s of media outlets, and have sent over 10,000 tweets (and 100s of emails) over the past several weeks, and no one has even bothered to respond. Her tumor growth and spreading is baffling the hospital where she has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments. She's been prescribed pain killers, steroids and gastric medicine while she's awaiting her next chemo treatment, which is scheduled for June 25-30. Today is June 24th. As if the constant vomiting and excruciating pain weren't enough, the stress of trying to raise funds on our own, and having to wait several months for a response from Malaysian and Indonesian bureaucrats, THEN being told they cannot help, or will not because she's not a Malaysian citizen, is making this ordeal a very desperate one. Kiki has had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma since December 2011 - which was misdiagnosed in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, where she's originally from - and now it is at Stage 4; a rare form of the disease that is difficult to treat. Please help this wonderful human being. She's only 29, and has so much love and goodness to offer the world. Anything you can spare, even a single dollar, will help. If you can't afford to donate, then please help spread the word about our urgent situation. President Obama seems to be too busy showboating and scheduling appearances on television to see what's going on with the citizens he's supposed to be looking out for. So Kiki's life is almost literally in YOUR hands. Please handle it with care. She's worth the investment of a dollar or two. We thank you for your time.
