"The human body can survive for about 30 days without food. The human condition can sustain itself for about 3 days without water, but no human alive can survive for more than 30 seconds without hope, because without hope we truly have nothing." - Sean Swarner, co-founder CancerClimber Association
This is my TENTH time climbing Kilimanjaro and every time has been special. My heart is lost somewhere in Africa because of the beauty of the mountain, the people, and the cultures in Tanzania, however my heart is always going to be grounded in cancer and helping others. I can’t help anyone without your help… Through The CancerClimber Association, we’ve been able to take a number of survivors to Africa on the adventure of a lifetime. Now it’s time to raise funds to put smiles on young adults with cancer. If you support what I’m doing, then you support those touched by cancer. Please show that support with any form of donation to encourage others to follow their dreams and never lose hope. Through your support, we can continue giving people lives worth living.
Each year we take a team to Africa and climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in honor of all the lives touched by cancer. Honor a loved one who has fought cancer by sponsoring a CancerClimber today! Please add the names of your loved ones in the “comment section” as they will be climbing with us on Jul 19th all 19, 340ft to the summit! Their names will be on our Team CancerClimber flag that will remain at the summit to commemorate their struggle.
100% of the funds raised by each climber go towards:
- developing a mobile camp for young adults with cancer
- personal visits to patients by survivors to inspire hope
- adventure grants
- inspiring all those touched by cancer to focus on LIVING
The mobile camp for young adults will travel to children’s hospitals around the country providing them with the experience of a “personal expedition” while instilling confidence through a safe environment. Counseling and support to the children and their families will also be provided.
Our Mission is to help those touched by cancer by focusing on living an active, healthy lifestyle. To learn more about CancerClimber and how to get involved, please visit http://www.cancerclimber.org/ or contact us at email@example.com
Thank you for your support!!
