As many of you know, we have been fostering a sweet lil guy named Killian for about a month now.
The short version:
Killian (Mr. Man) had an expensive emergency procedure that the Pug Rescue of New England paid for in full, without even batting an eye at the cost. They would do anything for these puggies; they go ABOVE AND BEYOND for 'em. We'd like to see how much money we can raise to donate back to PRoNe. They do AMAZING work for so many pugs in need, and we are so inspired by all of the angels that work there.
Help us help them help pugs! :)
The longer version:
Sadly, Killian was surrendered to Pug Rescue of New England (PRoNE) because his owner developed serious dementia and could no longer care for him. We like to think she treated him like a king, feeding him whatever she was eating, and not forcing him to walk in the rain (he hates the rain).
However, even sadder for Killian, she passed away on the day we picked him up. Killian - or as we like to call him Mr. Man - has been through quite a bit, but he's managed to snuggle his way into our bed and into our hearts.
But in comes PRoNE to the rescue! They hooked poor Killian up with us and we have been living it up with him and our other pug, Alice ever since.
Killian likes SHORT walks around the block, snuggling on the lap of any nearby human, and sleeping under the covers. He also really likes toddlers because they drop food and have sticky hands that he can lick.
This week, Killian started acting a little funny and we had to rush him to the hospital, where he will be undergoing a procedure to relieve some blockage in his urinary tract. He'll be at the vet for a couple nights but we can't wait for him to come back home so we can give him lots of TLC.
While we know we're only a temporary home for him (we hope to find him his forever home soon!), he has become such a source of joy for us in the past few weeks. Moreover, we are constantly so impressed with all of the amazing work that Pug Rescue of New England does for all of these pugs in need.
They didn't bat an eye when he needed an expensive procedure (vet bills are no joke!). So we thought we'd do what we can to fundraise in honor of Killian.
Any money we are able to raise will go to this AMAZING cause that has made sure Killian (and all other local pugs) has been taken care of since the day he needed a helping hand.
Any amount helps and will go directly to PRoNE in Killian's name, in hopes that we can help them help more puggies. No donation is too small! If you are unable to donate, we'd love for you to share this page.
