BENEFITING: LOUDOUN COMMUNITY CAT COALITION
I am actually going to run a race! I finally found something to inspire me which is my passion for Animal Welfare. I am with the Loudoun Community Cat Coalition and we are raising funds for our Trap, Neuter, Return programs. These programs truly do change and save lives, those of the cats, and those of the people that love them. We recently went to help an elderly woman who had just lost her husband. They had been taking care of a colony of cats on their property but when he passed away she was unable to keep up. The cats all got very sick with Upper Respiratory infections, worms, and were all infested with fleas. While we were there assessing the situation I looked down and saw a kitten that was not moving. It was so sickly looking. We scooped it up and rushed it to the Vet. It was near death. It could barely breath and was so infested with fleas it was severely anemic. After much medical treatment it survived and we found it a home. The woman was so happy that we were able to help her get all her cats spayed/neutered ( 25 total), vaccinated, micro-chipped and get them the medical attention that they needed. The reason I am raising funds for the Loudoun Community Cat Coalition is because we are implementing programs that help people take care of their community cats when they need medical attention and spay/neuter. Your donations truly touch lives. Please help me hit my goal of $500 so that we can continue our life saving work.
