Kim suffered in a terrible car accident. Thank God she is still alive. An oversized truck came off of a merging lane and into hers, causing her car to collide with it. Her car went underneath the truck. It took the tow truck personnel 2-1/2 hours, and 3 tow trucks to detach her car from this truck. The doctors said most people don't survive these accidents. Luckily, Kim did. Her will and determination allowed her to keep her composure and get out of the car, despite her injuries and the condition of the car. In the ambulance, the EMTs didn't tell her the seriousness of her injuries to help her remain calm, but had to wrap her face and eye in bandages. Her face was being held together by bandages, and her right eye was held in the socket because of these bandages. She was taken to the hospital's trauma center and then into emergency surgery because of the extent of her injuries. Her face had to literally be put back together. She suffers from a serious concussion. Her hand was so badly cut that a cast was put on her arm and hand so that the wounds can heal. Her hand still has glass in it, but it would have caused more damage to remove the glass so it was left there in hopes that it works itself out. She still cannot move her neck. She lost her body strength and cannot do much for herself at this time. There are bruises all over her body, even down to her ankles, because of the impact of the crash. Her chest has great pain because of the impact. Her head was burnt, and a chunk of hair is now missing from that burn. We hope and pray that all injuries heal to 100% and we all have faith they will. Despite going through such a horrible accident, Kim has remained positive and still keeps her sense of humor, even though it hurts her to laugh. Unfortunately, Kim does not have health insurance. All of the medical bills are continuing to add up. From the ambulance to overnight stays in the hospital, surgery, so many tests, so many different kinds of x-rays, treated in the trauma unit, checking for internal bleeding, and the list goes on. We are hoping that if you are able, even by a small amount, you can donate to her fund to help cover some of these expenses, so that this does not have to be a worry for her and she can heal peacefully. Please continue to pray for her and keep positivity in your thoughts.
