It's that time of the year again. Collecting wishlists and browsing through aisles and aisles of shiny gadgets, cozy pajamas, and coffee-table books that will be forgotten about - all for family and friends who we love. We go into stores armed with lists of luxury items that sometimes end up on bedside tables, and sometimes in our closets. What if you could provide a gift that benefited someone for an entire year?
This holiday season, join Women's Education Project in gifting an education.
Each year, Women's Education Project's students in India and supporters in other countries, like the U.S., simultaneously light candles to support young women in India. They are all first generation learners - and we wish our diverse group of students much success in their colleges and their new careers. Supporters raise money to send one (or more) student(s) to college for a year. $250 sends one WEP girl to college and WEP's center for one year. Join us, and let's kindle a candle to encourage the next generation.
Help me in reaching my goal of $500, to make sure that two girls have year-long gifts. Stay tuned to this page - I have the great opportunity to visit the center in Hyderabad on December 16th and will be sharing a video of the students whose lives YOU have helped improve.
