Feeding kindness to hungry kids & hope to families in need. Tax ID 45-2455492

To assist families in transition and their chronically hungry children while developing the next generation of volunteers to carry on the mission of The Kind Mouse.  No hardworking individual should ever feel despair due to economic hardships beyond their control.  Everyone has a right to feel safe and secure in their own homes and no one should ever go hungry.

Our programs:

MOUSE NIBBLES WEEKEND PACK SACKS - While many children receive free and reduced-price breakfasts and lunches at school, they do not always have reliable access to food on the weekends and evenings.  Each Friday, chronically hungry students receive a Mouse Nibbles sack filled with 8-10 shelf-stable food items that will feed them through the weekend. Our volunteers pack 350 or more individual Mouse Nibbles sacks each week.

MOUSE NIBBLES EMERGENCY MEALS - The Kind Mouse is the primary provider of emergency food to Jane's Pantry operated by Pinellas County school system. We provide an immediate donation of nine meals for each hungry child as requested by Jane's Pantry.

MOUSE NIBBLES FAMILY PROGRAM - We feed hungry children and their families who have been unfavorably impacted by the economy. If the family wage earner has lost their job or is in a career transition and struggles to pay their mortgage and other bills, we provide food, housewares and pet food for a 90-day period.

MICE IN TRAINING AND MICE INTERNS YOUTH OUTREACH – We created two outreach clubs for youngsters ages 5-18 who are interested in helping those less fortunate then themselves. With their parent’s permission, our young volunteers play a vital role in helping the Kind Mouse feed the hungriest of the hungry children in our community.
