Mr. Kishore's Children's College Fund
Organized by: Robert Woodside
EVENT DATE Apr 08, 2014
We've reached our goal, but you're welcome to continue to give until tonight at midnight!
Mr. Kris Kishore, a beloved history teacher at Charlottesville High School, was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer of small intestine in August of 2013, just a few days after discovering that he and his wife were expecting their second child.
We are trying to raise at least $20,000 to start a VA 529 college savings plan for both of Mr. Kishore's daughters, so they can be a positive, intellectual influence on this world like their father is. Anything helps!
One of the little/big things that gives Kris a lot of joy during this time are the well-wishes, tributes, personal messages and prayers of his former students and their families. These notes have been so meaningful to him and his family, and I know he would love to hear more, so I'm writing this to ask you to help in two ways:
1) If you were taught by Mr. Kishore, would you please consider sending a thoughtful message to email@example.com before March 25th? It can be anything at all (a favorite memory from class, what you're up to today, what you learned in his class & how it has helped you) and in any format (a note, a video, a picture, whatever works best for you). Please focus this message on your experiences with Mr. Kishore. Hearing from former students and their families is always inspiring for Kris.
2) And please help us spread the word by forwarding this cause to other former students and parents, and anyone else who might like to participate in giving either your positive, encouraging words, or your monetary donation for college support
Thank you so much for your help with this project.

(This fundraiser is being run with Kris and Katie Kishore being knowledgable of it, as well as extremely touch by all your contributions)
