THE STORY:

Dear friends,

I am a political activist, USAF Catholic Cold War veteran and humanitarian. My wife Lisa and I are presently involved in an ongoing campaign to help improve the quality of life for 150 young orphans who depend on essential needs provided by founder director Simon Akatwijuka who established the Kisiizi Good Shepherd Orphanage in Uganda in 2011 with 20 orphans. Many of the children have lost parents due to death by AIDS, were abandoned by young unwed mothers or live in extreme poverty. In addition to these hardships Ugandan children are vulnerable to being abducted by the ruthless warlord Joseph Kony and forced to fight and kill innocent people for his so called Lord's Resistance Army. Uganda children are also abducted by witch doctors who kill them in horrific human sacrifices in an insane belief that the death of a child will bring prosperity and success to business owners. The Kisiizi Good Shepherd Orphanage strives to be a place of refuge and safety that provides these children with a loving, nurturing and compassionate environment. At the present time work is underway to construct a new school and dormitories for the boys and girls who are sleeping on the floor or on the ground. Please consider joining us as an individual or corporate donor and sponsor. Please share with your friends and may God bless you for contribution.
