EVENT: Ventura Marathon
EVENT DATE: Sep 08, 2013
Whether you Run, Walk or Just Want to Donate, there's a way YOU can HELP.
Members from Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks will be running or walking at the 2013 Ventura Half Marathon to make a difference. We will be raising money for our global campaign for children called The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT). This project will save and protect millions of women and their future babies who are at risk of MNT in 38 countries. Tetanus kills nearly 100,000 mothers and newborns each year, mainly due to inadequate immunization coverage, lack of safe-delivery services and improper post-partum care.
Participants will be seeking donations for each mile they run or walk. Please consider donating and helping us eliminate tetanus worldwide.
• $1.00 per mile = $13.10 - Can protect 7 women and their future babies
• $2.00 per mile = $26.20 - Can protect 14 women and their future babies
• $3.00 per mile = $39.30 - Can protect 21 women and their future babies
• $4.00 per mile = $52.40 - Can protect 29 women and their future babies
• $5.00 per mile = $65.50 - Can protect 36 women and their future babies
