Kiyoko Horning's Medical Bills and Recovery
Organized by: Amy Owen
Kiyoko Horning also known as Kay, is currently on life support at Parkland Medical Center, Kay is the most loving 84 year old woman in the world, she is originally from Japan and has only one daughter Karen, 4 Grandchildren, Jen, Amy, Mike and Matt and 8 Great grandchildren who all love her beyond words but they are also the only family she has here in America. Her husband Bob passed from cancer 10 years ago this July. She has always been a very strong independent woman who could battle through anything with the most up beat positivity that is admired by many. Recently on Friday July 15th, Kiyoko began having difficulty breathing while in the Parkland Medical Center Emergency room, she was rushed into the ICU where she was quickly placed on life support ventilators and various tubes and medications, Kay has been diagnosed with end stage lung disease which can be managed with the right treatment she also suffers from a heart defect, the upper right chamber malfunctions. Kay is the type of person that everyone who meets her just loves and adores her - she has so much more love to give and we, her family need help in getting her well so she can continue to spread her joy and sweet laughter. Karen being her only born child can not handle this financial aspect on her own and will never ask for help she is just like Kay, strong and independent but everyone has a moment in life where help is needed. If you could please help take some of this financial burden of these ongoing medical bills off of her hands it would be appreciated more than we could ever express. Right now, we are trying to be present for Kay and not think too much about the bills, but they will be coming in and we will have to face them sooner or later so, if you can help, please, anything counts and will be very much appreciated. If you can not financially donate we ask that you donate your prayers for Kay's recovery.
