EVENT DATE: Sep 08, 2017
As a spouse of a veteran I have experienced firsthand the sacrifices the veterans and their family must make while serving. The transition back to the civilian life is not a cakewalk for most of these veterans if not for the support groups. That's why my husband and I are hiking Pennsylvania Laurel Highlands Trail for 3 days covering 70+ miles to benefit Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania. The program helps provide housing and employment for all Veterans who are able to work, and for all Veterans to not only achieve and maintain self-sufficiency, but to thrive. Please donate to help veterans.
Imagine a group of 100 people tackling the Pennsylvania Laurel Highlands Trail for a 3-day, 70+ mile extreme hike with a full gear pack - and the adventure in The Crucible begins. This 3-day extreme journey through some of Pennsylvania's most spectacular scenery is not for the feint of heart. It's a journey of passion, determination and personal triumph, as much as it's an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of local veterans who are in need of housing and employment services.
