The Story

EVENT DATE: Nov 18, 2018

Welcome to our charity wedding registry!

We hope our marriage has a positive impact on our family, friends, and the community around us, and we can think of nothing better than sharing some of our gifts with the causes that matter most to us.

Below is a little bit about the six charities we've chosen to include on our registry. To donate to one of these groups click on its designated link at the very bottom of the page.

We look forward to celebrating with everyone at our wedding!

Horizons Newark: Horizons Newark gives Newark children access to enriched programming while working to eliminate summer learning loss, the erosion of reading and math skills impacting low income children over the summer months. Carrie's mom Joanne has served on the Board since 2014 and as Chairman of the Board since 2017.

Citymeals on Wheels: Citymeals delivers weekend, holiday and emergency meals to frail aged New Yorkers, ensuring they never go a day without a nutritious meal and a warm visit.

Friends of Mount Vernon Shelter Animals: Funds are used by Friends of Mount Vernon Shelter Animals to support Mount Vernon Center for Animal Care training program, purchase beds, harnesses and other equipment, provide toys, treats, cover pet meds, or any other unanticipated expense not funded in the city budget. Adam's mom Judy founded and led the group since its inception in 2015.

The American Cancer Society: The American Cancer Society is on a mission to free the world from cancer-- funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention.

International Rescue Committee: The IRC responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives.

Alzheimer's Association: The Alzheimer's Association's mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
