Hello all...On March 6, 2016 the LSU School of Nursing Alumni Association will be putting on a Mudbug March to Stomp Out Pulmonary Hypertension in memory of Chelsea Umbach Yates. Chelsea was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension, an incurable disorder characterized by abnormally high blood pressure in vessels of the heart and lungs. The disease a causes fatigue, decreased exercise tolerance, chest pain, enlarged ventricles and eventual heart failure. Chelsea received a double lung heart transplant but eventually passed away from this incurable disease. Please help me raise monies that can be used for research to find new treatments and possibly a cure.
