KORE Academy is an awesome school for kids with learning differences like dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, auditory processing, and more. The Walk-A-Thon is a way for the students to give back to the school by walking as many laps as they can. Ty is planning to walk at least 25 laps! The money we raise with this Walk-A-Thon will go to our tuition assitance fund and to help fund teacher professional development.
The Walk-A-Thon is a new event for KORE but we hope it will become a major fundraiser for us. Please help support this effort, in any amount you can afford, by clicking DONATE. Here's a bit more about KORE:
We found out about KORE Academy when Ty was in 2nd grade and wasn't able to focus on much of what was happening in his classroom. He is in his second year at KORE now (4th grade) and it has been a HUGE change. First, we traded a class of 27 for a class of between 5-8. The small class size has been the biggest advantage but the fact that the teaching is so individualized and differentiated for each student has been awesome. He has his confidence back and is excelling! I joined the board to help make sure that this wonderful little school (29 kids right now!) will flourish.
If you can help, we appreciate it so much! Let's get walking!!
