Who We Serve
African‐American and Latino males, ages12-‐18, considered “at-‐risk” due to the impacts of systemic issues. The young men involved in our program attend various schools in Houston, Texas' Fifth Ward area.
What We Know
The population we serve is adversely affected by systemic issues that create a barrier to their financial literacy, motivation to succeed, educational attainment and exposure to places, people and experiences outside of their own community. Those issues include, but are not limited to:
- Parental Educational Attainment
- Racial and Economic Disparity
- Barriers to access private services
- Community-wide High Unemployment
- Adolescent Delinquency
- Substandard Quality of Life
How We Create Change
Knocking Off Wall Street, Inc. provides three important foundational interventions to create change and address financial illiteracy:
EDUCATE: Repetition and Challenge Curriculum in small groups, teaching the subject areas of finance, economics and business etiquette.
EXPOSE: Through strategic alliances, we provide access to mentors, guest speakers,arts and culture, college tours, tutoring and SAT preparation. Our signature program is "A Week in the Life of a Wall Street Banker", where students visit New York visiting financial institutions
EMPOWER: Asset and efficacy development through the utilization of the internationally recognized and respected platforms 40 Developmental Assets, Strength Finders and Toast Masters.

For each of our students, we strive to achieve:
