You love New Orleans. You've been coming here for years to enjoy the music, the food, the culture. You cried with us when Katrina and the floods hit 10 years ago, and you've supported the city's rebirth and culture. New Orleans has made great strides since the devastation of August 29, 2005, but not everyone is home yet. More than 6,000 families remain displaced and many more are still struggling to piece their lives back together. Our friends at the St. Bernard Project [http://www.stbernardproject.org] are working to bring 48 more families back to the homes they owned before Katrina with a 48-hour build to mark the anniversary. Here's where you come in. Donations of any amount are certainly welcome--every dollar will be put to good use. For those who want to go big, here are the prizes: $2500+ gets you weekend accommodations for JazzFest 2016 (April 22-24 or April 28-May 1) [limit: 2 prizes, first come/first-served] or Mardi Gras 2016 (February 9) [limit: 1 prize, first come/first-served]. For $1000 donation, you'll get a 3-day weekend stay at our house (dates to be mutually determined). For $250 you'll enjoy dinner at Casa Karanza and a night of live music or a NOLA surprise gift basket shipped to your house. You Jazz Fest people--if you do the math on rentals, you'd actually SAVE money, AND have the warm satisfaction of doing good....not to mention hanging with us in our new Marigny home. Thanks for your support and friendship.
