BENEFITING: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (better known as ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease) is a progressive nervous system disease that leads to impairment and eventual paralysis by the destruction of nerve cells. The disease is fatal, affecting approximately 30,000 Americans each year. Much research still needs to be done surrounding this disease to better understand what causes it and how to better treat/eventually cure the disease.
