Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! On March 19, 2017, Parr Burton, Andrew Vogel, Eric Lowe and I will be competing in the Publix Half Marathon (13.1 miles)! We are excited to be racing along side the Kyle Pease Foundation and their friends.
The purpose of the Kyle Pease Foundation (KPF) is to create awareness and raise funds to promote success for persons with disabilities by providing assistance to meet their individual needs through sports. Programs may include scholarship opportunities, purchasing medical equipment or adaptive sports equipment for others or contributing to other organizations that provide similar assistance to persons with disabilities; KPF also supports and participates in educational campaigns to create awareness about Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities. Specifically, your donation helps to support people with disabilities who need adaptive sports equipment, mobility devices or medical care.
Folks, running is my only hobby. I'm somewhat athletic but too uncoordinated for golf, soccer, etc.! I've run a bunch of races but lately have been looking for something "more". At the January Baton Rouge Marathon I noticed a similar organization pushing kids in the race carts. I spoke with almost every kid as I passed and felt that that's something I would like to do. I will be pushing Parr for 4.3 miles of the race and running alongside her for the other 8.1.
Last year, The Kyle Pease Foundation took 28 racers to the start line along with a host of volunteers. With your help we can make this year even bigger! With your support, other individuals will get to participate in road races, triathlons & many other sporting endeavors. Every dollar helps!
I can't wait for what will surely be an exciting day for Parr, Eric, Andrew, myself and the entire Kyle Pease Foundation team. I would greatly appreciate it if you made a donation that supports the Kyle Pease Foundation.
