My name is Kyle Stein and for my Mitzvah Project, my dad and I spent 2 days in Rochester, NY where we volunteered at the Golisano Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House. We helped wrap holiday presents for sick children to lessen the burden on their families and make the holidays a little bit brighter. I want to continue helping these two phenomenal charities so that I may present them with a large donation at the McDonald House Fundraising Red-Tie Gala on March 17th, 2012.
The Golisano Children’s Hospital at the Univ. of Rochester Medical Center is ranked by U.S. News & World as one of America’s Best Children’s Hospital for treatment in Oncology (Cancer), Cardio (Heart), Neonatology (Babies), Orthopedic Trauma, and Neurology. The Hospital serves the entire region north of NYC to Canada. They are building a new wing to modernize/expand the facilities.
The mission of McDonald House Charities is to create and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of very sick children. While they cannot take away painful treatments, they can help lessen the burden and ensure that more than 4.5 million families a year have the stability and resources they need.
Thank you for your help! Every dollar goes a long way in improving the lives of these kids!
