Poem by Zane Pedersen

Swaying in the breeze like a young flowers petals
You hung there in the lightest of days
Even though you were hung at times with metal chains
You still were able to catch the Suns rays

Even during the Summer monsoons and the winter glazes, you hung firm
The weight of the world on your shoulders yet you didn't struggle
You were ever so gentle too, you wouldn't even hurt a worm
You would shield me from the winds and let us snuggle

The sun nor the rains nor the earth has torn you, it is I
Yet I never had an intention to hurt you, I just always wanted to be with you
I want to tear up, but even being torn you tell me not to cry
You tell me don't you remember laying down looking at the sky so blue?
Kyle must live another day so this cannot just be the end
Even through all this sorrow it warms me to call you my friend
