BENEFITING: Los Angeles Diaper Drive
EVENT DATE: Jan 26, 2012
I’m donating my birthday again this year to the LA Diaper Drive, which supplies diapers to low income families. My goal is $500. Helping low income families should be the only incentive you need, but I thought it would be fun to let my Grandma shave my head once the goal is achieved. I’ll post the video afterwards. This means a lot to me and I know it would mean the world to the families who would benefit from this.
more information on the charity
LA Diaper Drive provides diapers year round to low-income parents by giving diapers to charities and community-based organizations, which distribute them to the low-income families. LA Diaper Drive encourages these partners to use the diapers as incentive to attend parenting, life skills, GED prep, or other valuable classes. Examples include Friends of the Family's Young Moms/Young Dads program which works with parents ages 13-21 and The Children's Institute, a non-profit that specializes in the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect.
LA Diaper Drive is a non-profit organization so your donation is TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.
