BENEFITING: American Autism Association, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2013
I have being running marathons since 2007 and this coming Chicago Marathon will be my 15th. I will be pacing for the Nike Pace Team, helping runners to achieve a goal of 3:50 hours. I have passion to coach, support, and help people.
I feel blessed as a runner and want to bless others, specially the children. I want to run with a purpose to bring Miles of Blessings. This year the Nike Pace Team gave me the opportunity to do it.
Jesus said: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belong to such these.”. For that reason I want to show my love for the children, running Chicago to raise funds for the American Autism Association.
The American Autism Association’s mission is to increase awareness of the many and varied difficulties individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder face as children and adults. They exist to help low income families struggling with autism to reach their potential and live life free of discomfort, anxiety and pain. Through hard work and the contributions of others like us, they will provide the educational services and financial assistance that will enable individuals with autism to function as meaningfully and as independently as possible in their everyday lives.
