BENEFITING: LOOK AT US ALLIANCE INCORPORATED
THE STORY: This fundraising campaign is inspired by Landon, a five-year-old girl who was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome. In partnering with Look At Us, Landon's mother Eloise is working to raise money to provide the gift of hearing to children all over the world as well as surgeries for children in developing countries. Look At Us has assisted needy children in over 20 countries.
More about our campaign's inspiration- Landon and her mother Eloise: Landon Glover Southard was born September 6, 2012 in the wee hours of the morning. She is everything people say your baby will become… my light, joy, my everything. After a scary delivery, I began my journey as the mother of a baby girl that includes facing a rare and often misunderstood syndrome. Landon was diagnosed with Treacher Collins Syndrome (TCS) within hours of being born. TCS is a genetic craniofacial syndrome that among other things caused bilateral Microtia Atresia. Landon very proudly wears two Cochlear Bahas (bone anchored hearing aids). She has grown into a ferociously fearless and very bright young girl. Because Landon had access to excellent medical care, she was enrolled in speech therapy at 4 weeks and received her first baha at 6 weeks. Because of her bahas and dedication to therapy, Landon excels in the classroom and has surpassed her therapy goals and expectations. We want nothing more than to pay the gift of hearing forward to other families around the world. Please visit us at https://theeloisediaries.com
More about Look At Us: Look At Us is exclusively focused on the physical and emotional well-being of children and young adults with craniofacial disorders due to birth anomaly or injury. Education, advocacy and support (including financial assistance to disadvantaged families) are the three pillars upon which LAU is built, and we will be an ever-present voice raising awareness of craniofacial differences. Whether funding reconstructive surgeries domestically and abroad, providing medical devices – like hearing aids – to kids in need, or helping families touched by craniofacial issues navigate the seemingly uncertain roads ahead of them, LAU will remain an invaluable resource and hub of inspiration, empowerment and hope. Look At Us relies solely upon the generosity of its donors – corporations, foundations and people like you – to fund patient care, education, awareness and support. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and donations are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please visit them at http://lookatus.org
We thank you for considering a donation to our cause. Having a child born into a world where they cannot hear, breathe, eat or sleep properly or comfortably is wildly expensive. Through generosity like yours, we are able to reach children in countries where hearing aids and treatment of differences are not readily available and most of the time greatly misunderstood.
Your gift will be transformative. Literally transformative.
