This is my 7th year with Still Water Sports Camp! I have served out at camp in multiple roles such as Coach, Tribal Leader Coordinator, and Camp Director over the years. Still Water brings people from such diverse backgrounds and yet there is a unity at camp that bonds everyone together. To have many in my family be a part of Still Water in some aspect is such a gift. To serve with each other and close friends has been so fun and it is something that we all look forward to doing together. We plan our vacation time around being out at camp!:)
To get away from the world and into nature provides a time of renewal and for relationships with Jesus to deepen. Still Water has provided that for me as well has been a vehicle for me to serve others while they experience Jesus. My desire is that everyone knows that they are loved, special, and with purpose in Jesus Christ. He has let me be a part of His plans as He makes Himself known at every camp every year. To see campers and staff set free in so many ways by spending a week at Still Water and to see them leave camp with more confidence and stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually leaves an imprint on my heart...
Our staff lay their heart and mind open to give the best they have to our campers. They give up their summers and they serve all the while with a smile and encouragement and love...our staff walk the walk of faith and it is beautiful to see the body of Christ come together to impact others.
Will you join me in praying for our staff and campers this summer as well as take a minute to click on the donate button and consider supporting me in my efforts to help offset the costs associated with staff at camp.
Who is Still Water?
Still Water is an overnight sports, adventure, and leadership camp. Camp is open to anyone ages 5-18.
What makes Still Water Unique?
- Still Water ministers to culturally and economically diverse kids. We scholarship 50% of our campers.
- We present to over 10,000 students in the public school system and work with organizations such as FCA, YFC, Young Life, and others across the state during the year to stay connected with kids.
- Our staff to camper ratio is about 3-1. We intentionally have smaller camps (75-80 kids) where college students and families serve together as our staff and leadership teams.
Why should you get involved?
In evaluation of my upcoming summer, I've determined the best investment of my time is to serve with Still Water Camps. To make that happen, I need to raise $500 per term (two weeks). Would you consider helping me by donating here and helping me go on mission with Still Water?
