Tanzania Trip for Education and Clean Water
Organized by: Lara Garzilli
GIVE Volunteer’s Tanzania program allows me to connect with local community members in isolated villages while discovering one of the most exotic and awe inspiring places on the planet. Our current volunteer initiatives in Zanzibar focus on constructing multiple schools, water systems, and other sustainable infrastructure while teaching English and a range of other subjects to local students. GIVE focuses on completing infrastructure projects that empower our host communities in Zanzibar and drastically improve their quality of life. Volunteer trip costs fund the specific projects, and I will work on the projects alongside local skilled laborers. GIVE is currently focused on constructing freshwater systems and a school since they are vital components of a happy, healthy life. We construct these sustainable infrastructures using unique, innovative raw materials- repurposed plastic bottles. This reduces pollution, educates the community about conservation, and saves money in an effort to yield an impact that transcends generations by promoting environmentally friendly solutions for the future. Please help me help these people!
