La Reserva Forest Foundation is dedicated to restoring and preserving the Earth's tropical forests. We accomplish this by planting trees of over 100 native species, educating people, inspiring donors and partnering with landowners.

Who are we?

We are a non-profit organization based in Costa Rica that works to restore the tropical rainforest, promote biodiversity, support indigenous people of Costa Rica, and help people and businesses become carbon neutral to reduce climate change.

Why do we do it?

Our world is valuable. Not only do we live here, but so do millions of others species of animals and plants. We need to take care of this Earth and make sure we leave it for future generations to enjoy.

Still reading….great, let’s plant and learn more!

What have we done?

We have planted over 100,000 trees over the past few years. The forests that we planted and maintain include over 100 native trees per hectare, so we have rebuilt entire habitats, not just tree farms. We have also worked closely with local communities, including the Maleku indigenous people. In addition to helping them recuperate their forests, we provided local education and jobs for those who planted and maintained the projects and community nurseries.
