For years I have dedicated myself to helping others acquire the resources they need to build their business and be successful; however you may not know I also invest in people, that is why I support Haven Hills. Today I am the Vice President of the Haven Hill's Board of Directors. Haven Hills provides safety, shelter, and support to all victims of domestic violence while working to break the cycle of abuse. We save lives, inspire change, and transform victims to empowered survivors.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
According to the National Network to End Domestic Violence, 67,646 adults and children found safety and help at 1,697 domestic violence programs across the United States and U.S. Territories, including Haven Hills. Many victims seek help at the most critical time, they are in danger and flee when they have no other option but to save themselves and/or the lives of their children. This year the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority reported that Domestic Violence is the third leading cause of homelessness in Los Angeles - tonight thousands of women and men will sleep in their cars or on streets, many times with their children, to flee abuse.
Today I'm asking you to stand with me and Haven Hills against domestic violence. You can make a difference. By giving today, you are supporting the thousands of women, men, and children who depend on us for safety, shelter, and support. By giving today you are investing in someone's future; you are saving a life, inspiring change and transforming a victim to an empowered survivor.
