My Last Chance: Veterinary Radiology Tuition Fund
Organized by: Michelle Bowes
I'm trying to raise money to go to school for veterinary radiology. I have been trying to make this happen for almost 10 years, I'm getting to the point where it has to be now or never. However, with the demanding class schedule, plenty of homework, plus the clinical rotation hours alone being as much as a full time job, I'm not sure how I can afford to do it all by myself- to move to a brand new city, work at least a full time job (and find one that will work those restrictions!) on top of all the required school responsibilities and to be able to make enough money to cover basic cost of living.. .
But I’ll tell you what I’m working towards: This fund is to help pay tuition and cost of living so I can try to avoid excessive debt out of school. I want to make a positive difference in animal’s lives and in the lives of the people who truly love them, but who may not normally be able to pay for these expensive tests by offering low-cost health care options for pets. I hear too many stories of people being told to surrender their animal because of high veterinary bills with no other options given; I want to be someone who is becoming a solution to this problem. It's been said you can easily judge a society, or the character of a person, by how they treat those who can't do anything for you, I couldn't agree with that more.
It's very hard for me to put this out here and ask for help and money, as that's just not in my nature. Anything you can contribute will be appreciated beyond words. Thank you!
