BENEFITING: THURSTON COUNTY FOOD BANK
EVENT DATE: Dec 05, 2012
I'm taking a class at Sain Martin's University called Food and Digital Storytelling. My final project can be a boring essay, or something creative. I chose creative (and philanthropic). Here's what I did: “The Last Supper Project” will consists of a collection of recipes and stories that represent the legacy my family, friends, acquaintances, etc. wish to leave behind when they go. I will compiled these recipes and narratives in a book format with photos and will present this as my final project.
Another component of this project is a “Last Supper” potluck. Recipe contributors who are willing and able to attend, will bring the dish they chose and I hope they will share with everyone else why they chose the dish.
At the “Last Supper” potluck I will have copies of the recipe books (printed free of charge by Capitol City Press) for sale for a suggested donation of $5 ea and I will donate all funds to the Thurston County Food Bank.
All donations will be accepted through this website, even at the potluck. Anyone contributing $5 or more will receive a copy of the recipe book. So even if you can't attend, that doesn't have to stop you from buying a copy.
