EVENT DATE: Feb 28, 2014
Hispanic Advocacy and Community Empowerment through Research's (HACER) mission is to affect institutional decisions and public policy through collaborative work, research, and evaluation. For the past couple of years, The Center for Leadership (TCLI) and HACER have been working together to host the Latino Leadership Academy. HACER/TCLI are seeking $6,500 to continue our work from the community and partners. Thanks to anyone who can make a donation to the Academy. Your investment in promoting racial, social and economic justice will pay off in 2014 and beyond!
The Latino Leadership Academy was created by The Center for Leadership Innovation (TCLI) as part of a broader social change strategy to achieve more equitable access to opportunity for those who live in disadvantaged communities across America.
Thirty-three leaders representing 11 Latino-led nonprofit organizations in Minnesota participated in the Academy. All participants attended leadership workshops, received on-site consulting at their organization, and were provided with mentoring and coaching tailored to the specific needs of each nonprofit.
Each cohort/organization participates in the Academy for three years/phases. Each year/phases ends with a day of workshops/breakout sessions and a graduation ceremony. HACER/TCLI would like to continue the Academy and are seeking to raise $6,500 from the community and partners to end Phase 2 in February 2014. We would like to continue capacity building/training of Latino Leaders within our Latino non-profit sector with your help and will continue to raise funding for this endeavor.
Make a donation today to help wrap up phase 2 and help us get a strong start onto phase 3.
