EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2016
On October 5th, Hurricane Matthew made landfall in Haiti as a Category 4 storm, devastating the Southwest part of the island and leaving a trail of distraction. The storm claimed over 500 lives leaving countless people displaced. Matthew's winds and torrential rainfall tore through villages ripping roofs from houses and leaving massive flooding with devastating conditions for hundreds of thousands of residents. A Cholera outbreak has residents already in dire conditions fearing for the worst.
As conditions continue to deteriorate, Latinos Run seeks your support to bring much needed medicine and supplies to the people of Haiti and those affected in the U.S. by Hurricane Matthew. Latinos Run International is working with Tools for Change, a nonprofit organization founded by 17 year old Activist an Actress Victoria Pannell who has worked for years advocating for safer communities and healthier living conditions for young men and women. She is curently one of the youngest community board members ever appointed and has worked closely with the community to push for change in NYC. She was also the youngest person to help in the Hurricane Katrina disaster relief as well as lent a hand in the Hurricane Sandy cleanup.
Every dollar you donate will go towards Hurricane Matthew Disaster Relief and will allow Tools for change to provide hundreds of people with much needed supplies.
