THE STORY:

In October, 2012, Hurricane Sandy drenched the mountaintop village of Piton, Haiti, overcoming the school's roof and causing their latrine to collapse. This fundraiser will build a new 2-stall latrine to be used for the school and the broader community in time for the start of the 2014 school year.

I've written about Piton on my website, here and here. I'm partnering with them to provide a design and plan for the successful construction of a better latrine and to fund their efforts. In return, they are using as much of their local resources as possible and organizing the community to work together and keep the costs to a minimum. Still, there IS cost and I'm reaching out for help! Join with me to benefit and empower this beautiful and hard working community. Every little bit helps. Thank you!
