The Iraqi Children Foundation (ICF) is comitted to creating a more secure and stable future for Iraq's most vulnerable children. ICF is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and was established in 2007 by Americans working in Iraq. Today, the charity seeks to ensure that the sacrifice of thousands who served, died or were injured during a decade of war is not wasted.
The mission of the Iraqi Children Foundation is to assist the families and communities of Iraq by mobilizing a life-changing “Surge of Love” for millions of children orphaned by violence in Iraq. We are committed to doing this under the leadership of the Iraqi people by –
- Serving as a catalyst to mobilize US and international partners
- Investing in training and capacity building of Iraq’s non-governmental and community organizations
- Emphasizing direct assistance for hand up, not hand out, projects
Mo and Laura are very passionate about the Iraqi Children Foundation. Mo sits on the Board of ICF as the Vice President - Iraq, and Laura helps with its social media efforts on Instagram and Twitter. Both of them have worked on fundraising projects for ICF in Dubai and in the USA.
