The Celebrate Life Half Marathon and the cause that it funds means so much to me. The race and its proceeds go to local cancer patients that need financial help as they battle this awful disease. Last year I ran for my dear friend, Tee, who bravely fought breast cancer. Sadly, she lost her battle last March. I have another good friend, Veronica, who is courageously fighting breast cancer right now. This year I will run in honor of Veronica and in memory of Tee. I'm in awe of these beautiful, courageous and strong ladies. This year is even more personal for me. I was diagnosed in June with my second melanoma this time on my ear. I had surgery and thought we got it all, but unfortunately found out thst it had spread in November. I am currently receiving immunotherapy and will continue to fight. Please help me honor my beautiful friends and everyone that is fighting this awful disease. Let's support everyone that needs help during their battles. Every donation will help, no matter how small. Thank you.
